HIGH PRESSURE JETTING
CCTV PIPE INVESTIGATION
High Pressure Jetting
The most effective way to rid the pipe of these deposits is
high pressure water jetting. Strong jets of water remove the
deposits from the pipe wall. The deposits are flushed out of
the pipe and the drain is returned to a free flowing
condition. |

CCTV Drain
Inspection
Because drains are largely hidden from view, the exact cause and
nature of the problem may not be immediately apparent. That's
why inspection and diagnosis are crucial features of the jet
flow service.
Specially developed state-of-the-art camera technology, which
produces high quality colour pictures, allows the jet flow
engineer to take a ‘close-up' look at the inside of drains,
pipes and sewers. These surveys identify the cause and nature of
blockages whilst checking for internal conditions and pipe work
integrity.
The camera is propelled through the pipe work using a semi-rigid
rod. The camera findings are displayed on a screen along with
its exact position within the pipe. These pictures, along with
full written text, are recorded on a standard VHS format video
to substantiate the survey report for later fault analysis. The
report identifies the most economical and cost effective method
of repair.
Sonar Drain Tracing
Need to find out where a drain goes? We have the answer. A
module containing a transmitter is introduced into the pipe
using rods. As the transmitter is pushed along the pipe a hand
held receiver then picks up the transmitted signal and pinpoints
the position of the pipe. The equipment will function at depths
up to 15 metres, dependant on underground conditions. The
equipment does not function in metallic pipes.
This application will be of particular interest to construction
companies developing sites with existing drainage. Sonar tracing
used in conjunction with CCTV can positively identify the
source, condition and route of existing drains. With this
information considerable amounts of money could be saved, by
using the existing drainage in preference to laying new pipe.
Pre-Purchase House CCTV Surveys
When people purchase a house normally the mortgage lender
insists that a survey of the property be carried out. However as
they cannot survey the underground drains they cannot identify
any problems there may be.
Many people are not aware that responsibility for their drains
ends at the connection with the public sewer, wherever it may
be.
Imagine finding you have a problem with your drains under the
road. Imagine what it would cost to dig the road up! Probably
thousands of pounds.
A video of the survey will be provided, along with a
comprehensive report. We will also recommend any remedial work
that may be identified from the survey, and supply a quotation.
